ProMariner ProSafe FailSafe 60-Amp Galvanic Isolator

Description

The ProMariner ProSafe FailSafe 60A Galvanic Isolator helps reduce corrosion of underwater metals while maintaining the vessel’s shore-power safety-ground connection. The fail-safe design eliminates the need for a separate status monitor required by some non-fail-safe isolators.

High-power FlatPack semiconductor technology allows the isolator to block low-voltage galvanic currents without interrupting the grounding path needed for AC fault protection. If the isolator experiences an internal failure, the design is intended to fail in a manner that preserves onboard ground continuity rather than opening the safety ground.

The ProSafe FS 60 is ABYC A-28 compliant and UL certified, and it meets ISO 8846 ignition-protection requirements for installation in appropriate engine compartments. High-current diodes are designed to withstand the inrush levels required by fail-safe testing, while gold-plated terminations improve connection quality.
