Description

The Ancor 22-18 AWG Heat Shrink Butt Connectors provide sealed inline splices for smaller marine wires exposed to moisture, vibration, oil, chemicals, and ultraviolet light. This 500-pack is suited to production work, refits, and service departments that make repeated weather-resistant electrical connections.

Cross-linked polyolefin heat-shrink tubing surrounds the connector and contains a heat-activated adhesive liner. When heated correctly, the tubing shrinks around the wire insulation and adhesive flows to create a water-resistant seal while adding strain relief around the splice.

The connector uses a nylon insulator, tinned copper for corrosion resistance, and a brazed seam for strength and current flow. The connectors are UL Listed and CSA Recognized. The high shrink ratio helps the sleeve conform tightly around the completed joint.
