Description

The Xantrex C-Series C60 is a 60A solid-state controller that can be configured for solar charging, DC load control, or diversion control. It supports field-configurable 12V and 24V systems, giving boat, off-grid, and remote-power installers a flexible controller that can serve more than one role in a DC energy system.

In battery-charging mode, pulse-width-modulated multi-stage charging helps manage battery recovery and maintenance, with temperature compensation available when used with the appropriate sensor. The controller can also be configured to divert excess charging energy or control DC loads, which makes the C-Series useful with a variety of renewable-energy and battery-based systems.

A microprocessor manages charging and control behavior silently because there are no mechanical switching relays in the main power path. Electronic protection guards against short-circuit, overload, and over-temperature conditions. Field-adjustable voltage and battery set points allow the controller to be tuned to the installation.

Conformal-coated circuit boards and a powder-coated enclosure help the controller tolerate demanding operating environments. It works with negative-ground and ungrounded systems and automatically disconnects from the battery at night when used for solar charging.
