Victron VE.Bus BMS V2 for LiFePO4 Batteries

Description

The Victron VE.Bus BMS V2 protects Victron Lithium Battery Smart LiFePO4 batteries in systems using Victron VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers. It monitors individual battery-cell voltage and temperature and coordinates connected equipment when a cell approaches an unsafe condition, helping protect the battery bank from over-voltage, under-voltage, excessive temperature, and low-temperature charging conditions.

If a cell approaches under-voltage, the BMS can generate a pre-alarm and disable inverting through VE.Bus while also using the Load Disconnect terminal to control other compatible DC loads. If a cell reaches over-voltage or an unsafe temperature condition, the BMS can disable charging through VE.Bus and use the Charge Disconnect output to control additional chargers.

The V2 generation adds remote on/off terminals and improved integration with GX-based systems. Through a compatible GX device, it can help disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers when required. It also allows the VE.Bus inverter/charger to remain accessible from multiple control devices such as a Digital Multi Control panel, VE.Bus Smart Dongle, or GX device.

Auxiliary power input and output terminals can keep a GX device powered even during a battery-protection shutdown, preserving monitoring and diagnostic visibility when the rest of the system has been disconnected.
