Victron VE.Bus BMS NG for Lithium NG Batteries

Description

The Victron VE.Bus BMS NG is an all-in-one battery-management system designed specifically for Victron Lithium NG batteries in installations using Victron VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers. It continuously monitors individual cell voltage and temperature and protects the battery bank against cell over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature, and under-temperature conditions. It is not compatible with Victron Lithium Battery Smart models.

Built-in Bluetooth provides direct setup, monitoring, and firmware updates through VictronConnect. Because Lithium NG batteries communicate battery current and state-of-charge data directly to the BMS, a separate SmartShunt is not required for basic battery monitoring. Instant Readout can show key information such as state of charge, battery temperature, warnings, and alarms directly in the VictronConnect device list.

The Load Disconnect output can control the remote on/off input of compatible BatteryProtect units, inverters, DC-DC converters, and other loads to prevent damaging deep discharge. The Charge Disconnect output can control compatible chargers, Cyrix-Li relays, battery combiners, or BatteryProtect devices when charging must stop. A pre-alarm output provides advance warning before a low-voltage shutdown and can drive a relay, LED, or buzzer, while remote on/off control allows external management of both load and charge disconnect functions.

Lithium NG batteries can be configured in series, parallel, or series/parallel arrangements for 12V, 24V, and 48V systems. The architecture supports up to 50 batteries in 12V or 24V banks and up to 25 batteries in 48V banks.
