Description

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/100-TR VE.Can is designed for large solar arrays that need high PV input voltage, substantial charging current, and coordinated system monitoring. Its ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking continuously follows the solar array’s operating point to convert changing sunlight into usable battery charging energy, and it can attempt to recover a severely depleted battery when the cells themselves remain serviceable.

The controller automatically detects common 12V, 24V, and 48V battery systems and provides fully programmable charging settings for lead-acid, lithium, and other supported chemistries. Built-in Bluetooth allows local setup, monitoring, and historical data review through VictronConnect. VE.Can ports allow multiple compatible SmartSolar controllers to be daisy chained so their charge stages synchronize and their data can be carried over one network connection.

A VE.Direct port provides another route for monitoring or control, while the remote on/off input allows external devices, including compatible battery management systems, to control charging. When paired with a GX device, system information can be monitored locally or through Victron Remote Management when internet access is available.
