Victron SmartShunt 2000A Bluetooth Battery Monitor

Description

The Victron SmartShunt 2000A/50mV IP65 is a high-current battery monitor that eliminates the need for a dedicated gauge by using a phone, tablet, or compatible GX device as the display. It is designed for very large battery systems where charging and discharge currents can exceed the capacity of common 500A or 1000A monitoring shunts.

Bluetooth connects the SmartShunt directly to the VictronConnect app, where users can view state of charge, time remaining, current flow, historical information, and other battery parameters. Because the measurement electronics are integrated at the shunt, only the communication device needs to be placed at a convenient viewing location, reducing dashboard clutter and display wiring.

The SmartShunt can also communicate with a GX device through its VE.Direct port when the appropriate cable is used. An auxiliary input can be configured to monitor a second battery voltage, battery midpoint voltage, or temperature when used with the appropriate sensing equipment.

The 2000A/50mV rating makes this model appropriate for very large inverter systems, propulsion-support banks, high-output charging systems, and other installations where sustained current can be far above conventional house-bank levels. The IP65 enclosure provides improved protection against dust and water exposure for demanding installation environments.
