Description

The Victron Smart BatteryProtect 48V 100A disconnects nonessential loads before a battery is excessively discharged or loses the reserve needed for critical functions. It is designed for 48V DC systems and provides automatic low-voltage protection for loads that might otherwise continue drawing current until the battery reaches a damaging state of discharge.

Bluetooth allows the engage and disengage voltage thresholds to be programmed through a compatible mobile device. Installers can also select from nine predefined voltage profiles using the programming pin, and Bluetooth can be disabled when wireless access is not desired.

The Smart BatteryProtect is a unidirectional device. Current can flow only from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal, so it must be installed according to whether it is protecting a load or being used in a supported charging-control application. It cannot pass charging and load current in both directions at the same time.

Rated for 100 amps, the unit is suited to substantial 48V auxiliary loads and distribution circuits.
