Description

The Victron Smart BatteryProtect 100A protects 12V and 24V battery systems by disconnecting nonessential loads before the battery is deeply discharged or loses the reserve needed to crank an engine. It can also serve as a system on/off switch, making it useful for marine, RV, and off-grid DC circuits that need both battery protection and convenient electronic load control.

The unit automatically detects 12V or 24V system voltage during setup. Bluetooth allows custom engage and disengage thresholds to be programmed through a compatible device, while nine preset profiles can be selected with the programming pin. Bluetooth can be disabled if wireless configuration is not desired.

A dedicated lithium mode allows control by a compatible VE.Bus BMS, and the unit can also be used as a charge interrupter in supported lithium charging systems. MOSFET switching eliminates mechanical relay contacts and sparking. Ultra-low current draw is especially useful after low-voltage shutdown, when preserving remaining lithium battery capacity matters.

Over-voltage protection disconnects sensitive loads if voltage rises too high. A delayed alarm output helps avoid nuisance warnings caused by brief starting-voltage dips, and the load disconnect and reconnect functions include delays so the system does not cycle unnecessarily around the threshold.
