Description

The Victron Phoenix Smart IP43 24/16 1+1 is an adaptive 24V marine charger built to maintain a primary house bank while also supporting a separate starter battery. The 1+1 configuration provides the main charging output to the service bank and a smaller auxiliary output to keep the starter battery maintained from the same AC charger.

Bluetooth is built in for wireless setup, monitoring, synchronization, alarms, and firmware updates through VictronConnect. Victron’s adaptive six-stage charging sequence uses bulk, absorption, recondition, float, storage, and refresh stages. Absorption time changes according to discharge depth, shortening after shallow cycling and extending after a deeper discharge so the battery receives the amount of charging it actually needs.

BatterySafe mode limits the rate of voltage rise when high charging current and absorption voltage could produce excessive gassing. Storage mode reduces long-term float voltage to slow corrosion and water loss, then periodically applies a refresh cycle to help prevent sulfation. Automatic voltage compensation offsets losses in the DC cabling as current changes.
