Description

The Victron Phoenix Smart IP43 12V 50A 1+1 charger is designed for boats with a large house bank and a separate starter battery. The primary output delivers the main charging capacity to the service bank, while the auxiliary output maintains the starter battery at a lower current and slightly lower voltage, allowing both banks to be supported from one charger.

Built-in Bluetooth allows setup, monitoring, alarm configuration, synchronization, and firmware updates through VictronConnect. The adaptive six-stage charging process automatically varies absorption time according to how deeply the battery has been discharged. BatterySafe mode limits the rate of voltage increase when high current and high absorption voltage could otherwise cause excessive gassing, while Storage mode lowers float voltage during long periods without battery use.

Automatic voltage compensation offsets DC cable losses as charging current rises, helping maintain the correct voltage at the battery terminals. Periodic refresh charging helps reduce sulfation during storage. The IP43 enclosure is intended for protected marine mounting, and this model requires a separate 5-15P mains cord for AC connection.
