Description

The Victron Phoenix Smart IP43 12/30 1+1 is an adaptive marine battery charger designed around a dedicated house-bank output plus a secondary output for maintaining the starter battery. The 1+1 arrangement allows most of the charger’s output to be directed to the service bank while a smaller auxiliary output keeps the starter battery topped up from the same charger.

Built-in Bluetooth provides wireless setup, monitoring, alarm configuration, and firmware updates through VictronConnect. The adaptive charging system varies absorption time according to how deeply the battery has been discharged, helping prevent overcharging after shallow cycling while still allowing a complete recharge after deeper discharge. Storage mode lowers long-term float voltage to reduce gassing and positive-plate corrosion, and periodic refresh charging helps limit sulfation during extended periods of inactivity.

Automatic voltage compensation offsets cable losses as charging current increases, helping maintain the intended charging voltage at the battery. BatterySafe logic controls the rate of voltage rise when aggressive charging settings could otherwise cause excessive gassing.
