Description

The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 48/12 20A Isolated DC-DC Charger provides adaptive charging from a 48V source to a 12V service battery. It is designed for dual-battery systems where a higher-voltage propulsion, starting, or energy-storage system must support a separate 12V bank for electronics and accessories.

The charger uses a bulk, absorption, and float charging process and supports both lead-acid and lithium batteries. Built-in Bluetooth allows configuration and monitoring through VictronConnect, while engine-running detection and a remote On/Off input give installers additional control over when charging is allowed.

The isolated architecture keeps input and output chassis grounds separate. Multiple Orion-Tr Smart units can be connected in parallel when additional output current is required, and the charger automatically reduces output in high-temperature conditions to protect itself.
