Description

The Victron Orion-TR Smart 24/12-30A Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter is a programmable 360W charger and power-supply platform for dual-battery systems in boats, RVs, and vehicles. It is designed to use a 24V alternator or starting system to charge a 12V service battery with controlled multi-stage charging rather than relying on uncontrolled direct connection between the two electrical systems.

The adaptive three-stage charging algorithm supports both lead-acid and lithium batteries. Built-in Bluetooth allows monitoring, programming, and configuration through the VictronConnect app, while a remote on/off input provides control from a switch, relay, or engine-run signal. The converter can also be used as a regulated DC power supply when fixed output is more appropriate than battery charging.

The 30A output is suitable for meaningful house-bank charging, and multiple units can be paralleled when additional current is required. The design supports operation in ambient temperatures up to 55°C, with full rated output available to 40°C before thermal derating begins.
