Description

The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-18 Isolated DC-DC Charger provides controlled charging from a 12V starting system to a separate 12V service battery. It is especially useful in boats, RVs, and vehicles where smart alternators or long cable runs can make direct battery-to-battery charging inconsistent.

The adaptive three-stage algorithm uses bulk, absorption, and float charging and can be configured for lead-acid or lithium battery systems. Built-in engine-running detection helps prevent unwanted discharge of the starter battery by stopping charging when the engine is no longer operating.

Bluetooth connectivity allows monitoring, setup changes, and firmware updates through VictronConnect, while the unit can also be configured as a fixed-output DC power supply. A remote On/Off connection provides additional control options. Because this is an isolated model, the input and output electrical grounds remain separated.
