Victron Orion-TR 9A Isolated DC-DC Converter, 12-12V

Description

The Victron Orion-TR 12/12-9A Isolated DC-DC Converter provides regulated 12V power while maintaining galvanic isolation between the source and load circuits. It is well suited to smaller marine, vehicle, communications, and off-grid systems where sensitive 12V electronics need a stable supply without directly sharing the source ground.

The converter accepts 8-17V input and provides an adjustable 10-15V output with a nominal setting of 12.2V. Continuous output is 9A at 40°C, with approximately 110W available at 25°C and 85W at 40°C. Short-term current reaches 12.5A, and short-circuit current is limited to protect the converter.

A remote on/off terminal allows operation from a low-power switch, relay, or engine-run signal. Multiple Orion-TR units can be paralleled when more current is required. Thermal protection reduces output as ambient temperature rises, and IP43 protection applies when the screw terminals are mounted downward.

The input, output, and case are galvanically isolated to 200V DC. This model is intended as a regulated power converter rather than a battery charger.
