Victron Orion-TR 380W Isolated DC-DC Converter, 12-48V

Description

The Victron Orion-TR 12/48-8A Isolated DC-DC Converter steps a 12V source up to a regulated 48V output while maintaining galvanic isolation between input and output. It is suited to marine, mobile, communications, and off-grid systems that need to operate 48V equipment from an existing 12V battery bank.

The converter accepts 10-17V input and provides an adjustable 40-60V output with a nominal setting of 48.2V. Continuous output is 8A at 40°C, with approximately 430W available at 25°C and 380W at 40°C. Short-term current output reaches 15A, and the output is short-circuit protected.

A remote on/off terminal allows the converter to be switched with a low-current control signal rather than a high-current input switch. Multiple units can be paralleled to increase output capacity. Thermal protection reduces current when ambient temperature rises, and IP43 protection applies when the screw terminals are oriented downward.
