Victron Orion-TR 30A Isolated DC-DC Converter, 48-12V

Description

The Victron Orion-TR 48/12-30A Isolated DC-DC Converter provides a regulated 12V supply from a 48V DC system while maintaining galvanic isolation between input and output. It is suited to boats, off-grid power systems, commercial vehicles, and industrial equipment where a 48V battery or bus must support conventional 12V electronics and accessories.

The converter accepts 40-70V input and provides an adjustable 10-15V output with a 12.2V nominal setting. It delivers 30A continuously at 40°C, with approximately 430W output at 25°C and 360W at 40°C. Short-term current capability reaches 40A, and short-circuit output is limited to protect the converter.

A remote on/off terminal allows the unit to be controlled by a low-power signal rather than a high-current input switch. Multiple converters can be paralleled for greater output. Thermal protection reduces available current when ambient temperature rises, and IP43 protection applies when installed with the screw terminals facing downward.

Galvanic isolation is rated at 200V DC between input, output, and case.
