Victron Orion-TR 30A Isolated DC-DC Converter, 24-12V

Description

The Victron Orion-TR 24/12-30A Isolated DC-DC Converter provides a regulated 12V output from a 24V source while maintaining galvanic isolation between input and output. It is intended as a power converter rather than a battery charger and is useful in marine, vehicle, industrial, and off-grid systems where a stable 12V supply is needed from a 24V battery or DC bus.

The converter accepts 20-35V input and provides an adjustable 10-15V output, with 12.2V nominal. Continuous output is 30A at 40°C, with approximately 430W available at 25°C and 360W at 40°C. Short-term current capability reaches 45A, while the output is short-circuit protected.

A remote on/off terminal allows the unit to be controlled by a low-power switch or engine-run signal without routing the full input current through the control switch. Multiple converters can be paralleled when more output is required. Thermal protection reduces current at high ambient temperature, and IP43 protection applies when the screw terminals are mounted downward.

The input, output, and case are galvanically isolated to 200V DC.
