Victron Orion-TR 18A Isolated DC-DC Converter, 12-12V

Description

The Victron Orion-TR 12/12-18A Isolated DC-DC Converter provides a regulated 12V output while electrically isolating the source and load sides of the system. It is useful in marine, vehicle, and off-grid installations where sensitive 12V equipment needs a stable supply and a separate negative path from the source circuit.

The converter accepts 8-17V input and provides an adjustable 10-15V output with a nominal setting of 12.2V. Continuous output is 18A at 40°C, with approximately 280W available at 25°C and 220W at 40°C. Short-term current reaches 25A, and short-circuit output is limited to protect the converter.

A remote on/off terminal allows the unit to be controlled by a low-current switch or engine-run signal. Multiple converters can be paralleled when greater output current is required. Thermal protection reduces available current above 40°C, while IP43 protection applies when the screw terminals are installed facing downward.

The input, output, and case are galvanically isolated to 200V DC. This model is designed as a power supply rather than a battery charger.
