Victron MultiPlus 12V 500W 20-16 Inverter Charger

Description

The Victron MultiPlus 12/500 20-16 combines a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charger, and high-speed AC transfer switch in one compact UL-approved enclosure. It is designed for smaller 12V systems that still need intelligent coordination between battery power, shore power, and generator input.

PowerControl limits how much current the charger draws from the external AC source so other connected loads are considered first. PowerAssist can then supplement limited shore or generator capacity with battery power during short peaks in demand, reducing the chance of overloading the external source.

The adaptive charger uses a multi-stage process tailored to battery condition and also provides a secondary charging output for a starter battery. Compatible MultiPlus systems can be paralleled for additional output and may support multi-phase configurations. For smaller boats or mobile systems that need integrated charging, inversion, and automatic transfer without the capacity of a larger 2kVA or 3kVA unit, the 12/500 offers a compact solution.
