Description

The Victron MultiPlus 12/2000 80-50 is a combined true sine wave inverter and 80A adaptive battery charger for 12V power systems. A built-in transfer function allows connected AC loads to move automatically between shore or generator input and battery-powered inverter operation.

PowerAssist helps protect limited AC sources from overload by reducing charging demand first and supplementing the available shore or generator power with battery energy when loads rise further. This makes the MultiPlus especially useful where dockside or generator capacity is limited but short periods of higher AC demand still occur.

If external AC is lost, the inverter takes over in less than 20 milliseconds so sensitive electronics can continue operating with minimal disruption. Compatible installations can parallel up to six units for additional output and can support split-phase or three-phase system designs where appropriate.
