Victron Lynx Smart BMS 500 M10 Battery Management System

Description

The Victron Lynx Smart BMS 500 M10 is a dedicated battery-management system for Victron Lithium Smart batteries that combines high-current switching, battery protection, monitoring, and system communications inside the modular Lynx architecture. This M10 version is built around a 500A contactor and is intended for substantial 12V, 24V, and 48V lithium installations that need coordinated control rather than a collection of separate protection devices.

The contactor acts as a fallback safety mechanism if the primary charge or discharge controls do not shut equipment down when required and can also be used as a remotely controlled main system switch. A pre-alarm output provides advance warning before a battery-protection shutdown, giving the operator an opportunity to reduce load or restore charging before the system disconnects.

An integrated battery monitor reports state of charge and other battery data. Bluetooth provides setup, configuration, and monitoring through the VictronConnect app, including Instant Readout for key information at a glance. A compatible GX device such as the Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX can add local and remote monitoring and connect the BMS to the wider Victron system environment.

As part of the Lynx Distribution system, the BMS can be combined with compatible Lynx busbar and distribution components for a clean, modular high-current DC installation.
