Victron Lynx Smart BMS 1000 NG M10 Management System

Description

The Victron Lynx Smart BMS 1000 NG M10 is a high-capacity battery-management system designed specifically for Victron Lithium NG LiFePO4 batteries. It supports 12V, 24V, and 48V systems and can manage as many as 50 batteries in series, parallel, or series/parallel arrangements. That scale allows very large battery banks, with supported energy storage reaching up to 192kWh in a 12V system and up to 384kWh in 24V and 48V configurations.

The 1000A main safety contactor provides a secondary layer of protection if normal charge, discharge, or DVCC controls fail to turn off equipment when required. It is rated for 1000A continuous current and 1200A for five minutes and can also serve as a remotely controlled main system switch. A built-in pre-charge circuit limits inrush current when connecting capacitive loads such as inverter/chargers, reducing stress on the contactor and eliminating the need for a separate external pre-charge device in many systems.

Monitoring and control are available through Bluetooth with the VictronConnect app or through VE.Can when connected to a GX device such as a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX. The integrated battery monitor provides real-time state of charge, voltage, current, history, status, and diagnostic information, while Lithium NG integration also allows cell voltages and temperatures to be viewed through compatible GX devices and the VRM Portal.

DVCC closed-loop control allows compatible Victron inverter/chargers, Orion XS DC-DC charging equipment, and solar charge controllers to be managed automatically through a connected GX device. ATC and ATD contacts can control other chargers and loads that offer remote on/off capability. A programmable relay can function as an alarm output or control an alternator through an external regulator, including an Alternator ATC mode designed to shut alternator charging down safely before the battery contactor opens.

An onboard auxiliary output supplies up to 1.1A at system voltage for selected loads such as a GX device after a low-cell-voltage shutdown. If no charge voltage is detected within five minutes, the BMS and auxiliary output shut down. VE.Can communication uses standard RJ45 cabling, and NMEA 2000 integration is possible with the appropriate adapter for displaying system data on compatible marine networks.

The Lynx Smart BMS NG can monitor fuse status on up to four connected Lynx Distributor modules and issue an alarm if a fuse opens. Electrical specifications include a 9-60V DC battery range, 75V maximum input, protected 0.5A allow-to-charge and allow-to-discharge ports, a 2A at 60V DC SPDT alarm relay, and M10 tinned-copper busbar connections. The ABS enclosure is IP22 rated for operation from -40°C to +60°C.
