Description

The Victron GX LTE 4G-A Cellular Modem adds mobile internet connectivity to compatible Victron GX devices in North American installations. It supports 2G, 3G, and 4G cellular technologies and provides the GX system with a direct connection to the Victron Remote Management portal when local Wi-Fi or wired internet is unavailable.

A built-in GPS receiver can add location tracking and geofencing when the optional active GPS antenna is installed. This makes the modem particularly useful on boats, RVs, service vehicles, and mobile power systems where remote monitoring and location awareness are both valuable. The modem works with compatible GX devices running Venus OS 2.60 or newer.

A Mini-SIM card is required. The modem provides internet access for the GX device itself rather than acting as a general-purpose hotspot, so installations that need to share cellular internet with phones, laptops, or other equipment should use a separate mobile router.

The supplied indoor LTE antenna supports normal installations, with an optional outdoor antenna available when greater range is needed. Power input is 8-70V DC, and the included cable has an inline fuse. Cellular communication is handled through a fixed USB-A connection to the GX device.
