Description

The Victron Centaur 12V 100A charger is a high-capacity three-bank marine charger built for larger vessels with substantial 12V battery systems. Victron uses an aluminum epoxy-powder-coated enclosure, drip shield, stainless steel fasteners, and acrylic-coated circuit boards to help the charger withstand heat, humidity, salt air, and corrosion over long-term marine use.

A universal AC input range allows operation across different shore-power voltages and frequencies without adjustment, and the charger can also accept a suitable high-voltage DC supply. Three isolated outputs can charge separate battery banks simultaneously, with each output capable of delivering the charger’s full rated current depending on how the connected batteries are drawing power.

The automatic three-stage charging process uses bulk charging followed by a timed absorption period and then float maintenance. Internal temperature sensing compensates charge voltage as conditions change, while thermal protection can automatically reduce current under extreme operating temperatures. A DIP switch allows charge and float voltages to be selected for flooded lead-acid, gel, or AGM batteries.
