Description

The Victron BlueSolar DUO PWM 20A Charge Controller is designed to manage solar charging for two separate 12V or 24V battery banks from one photovoltaic system. Its dual-battery capability makes it particularly useful on boats, RVs, and other installations that need to maintain both a house battery and a starting or auxiliary battery without adding a second charge controller.

The controller uses programmable three-stage Bulk, Absorption, and Float charging to manage battery recovery and maintenance. A programmable charge-current ratio allows available solar current to be divided between the two connected banks according to system priorities rather than simply treating both batteries identically.

An integrated LCD provides local operating information, while two 5V USB outputs offer convenient low-voltage charging for compatible mobile devices. A programmable lighting-control function and load output add basic automation capability for lighting and smaller DC loads.

The load output includes low-voltage disconnect and manual disconnect functions and is protected against overload and short circuits. Reverse-polarity protection helps guard against incorrect solar-panel or battery connections, and an external temperature-sensor connection supports temperature-aware charging.
