Description

The Victron Blue Smart IP67 12V 17A Battery Charger is a sealed smart charger for boats and other demanding 12V applications. Its electronics are encapsulated in resin inside a cast-aluminum housing, protecting the charger from water, dirt, oil, shock, and harsh engine-room conditions.

Built-in Bluetooth allows voltage and current monitoring, settings changes, and software updates through VictronConnect. The adaptive five-stage charging process moves through bulk, absorption, recondition, float, and storage modes, automatically optimizing the charge cycle according to battery use.

Storage mode lowers long-term float voltage when the battery remains unused, helping reduce gassing, corrosion, sulfation, and premature aging. The charger also supports LiFePO4 batteries using the appropriate charge sequence and reduces output as temperatures rise instead of shutting down abruptly.
