Victron BatteryProtect 48V 100A Disconnect

Description

The Victron BatteryProtect 48V 100A disconnects nonessential loads before a 48V battery bank is completely discharged or loses the reserve needed for critical functions. By removing selected loads at a defined low-voltage point, it can help prevent damaging deep discharge and preserve energy for equipment that must remain available.

The BatteryProtect is a unidirectional device, meaning current can flow only from the Battery terminal toward the Load terminal. It can be installed either in a load circuit or in certain charging-control applications, but it cannot carry charging and load current in opposite directions through the same unit.

Rated for 100 amps, the disconnect is suitable for substantial DC circuits such as lighting banks, electronics distribution, refrigeration, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment within a 48V system. Correct cable size, overcurrent protection, and installation orientation are important because the unit becomes part of the main current path to the protected load.
