Description

The USMC Desert Ops Machete stretches to 24 in overall with a 17.3 in OD-green matte stainless blade. A sawback runs along the spine, adding a second working surface for material that is better handled with a sawing motion than a normal machete swing.

The desert-tan ABS handle is built over a full, extended tang and includes a lanyard hole. Blade etching continues the USMC theme, while the black nylon belt sheath adds an adjustable shoulder strap for another way to carry a tool this long.

At 17.3 in, the blade accounts for most of the machete’s 24 in overall length. The shoulder strap on the sheath matters on a tool this long because it provides another transport option besides hanging the entire machete from a belt.
