The Stroup MK2 has a 4-inch acid etched 1095 high carbon steel clip point blade at 8 inches overall, a black G10 handle and a sheath. Made in the USA.

At 8 inches overall the MK2 is the compact one in the Stroup lineup, short enough to ride on a belt all day without catching on a pack strap or a truck seat. The 4-inch blade covers camp cooking, cutting cord and general field work, where the longer TU1 starts to feel like more knife than the job needs.

1095 holds about one percent carbon, taking a very keen edge and stropping back in seconds, though it will darken over time and needs to be kept dry.
