Description

The SOG Salute pairs a 3.625-inch 8Cr13MoV clip point blade in black oxide with a black G10 handle.

The clip point takes its name from the section clipped away from the spine near the tip, which drops the point lower and makes it finer. That gives control for detail work while the long belly behind it handles general cutting. 8Cr13MoV is chosen for being easy to bring back to sharp rather than for holding an edge indefinitely, which suits a working knife that gets touched up rather than babied.

Black oxide grows out of the steel surface rather than sitting on top, cutting glare and slowing rust without a coating thick enough to chip. G10 keeps the handle stable in heat, cold and damp.

  • 3.625-inch clip point with a fine, controlled tip
  • 8Cr13MoV comes back to sharp quickly
  • Black oxide finish resists glare and rust
  • G10 handle stays stable in heat and damp
