Description

The SmartPlug 50A Inlet and Female Cord Connector Combo provides the two main components needed to convert the boat side of a 125/250V shore-power connection to the SmartPlug system. The kit includes a white 50A male inlet and a female cord-end connector designed to be installed on an existing compatible shore-power cord.

SmartPlug uses a straight push-in connection rather than a traditional twist-lock interface. The keyed body aligns in one orientation, making connection easier in low light, while side clips and the inlet cover secure the plug body without placing normal cord movement directly on the electrical contacts.

A larger pin-and-clip contact area improves electrical contact during high-current use and is designed to reduce the heat associated with poor or loose shore-power connections. Silicone gaskets in the inlet cover and connector body help keep moisture away from the electrical connection when the components are properly engaged.
