Description

The SmartPlug Grey Non-Metallic Inlet Cover is part of SmartPlug’s high-capacity marine shore power inlet system and provides a non-metallic exterior finish for boats where a polished stainless cover is not desired. The SmartPlug inlet design uses a much larger electrical contact area than conventional twist-style connections, helping improve conductivity and reduce the resistance-related heat that can develop under sustained shore power loads.

The mating connector pushes directly into the uniquely shaped inlet with no twisting required, making alignment easier and ensuring the plug engages in the intended orientation. Side locking clips secure the connector body and help keep normal cord movement from transferring stress to the electrical pins. Weatherproof sealing surfaces around the inlet cover and connector are designed to limit moisture intrusion in exposed marina environments.

The mounting flange follows common twist-style inlet hole patterns, allowing many boats to be upgraded without major modification to the mounting surface.
