Description

The SmartPlug Eaton Lighthouse Conversion Kit is designed to upgrade an existing marina pedestal to a SmartPlug receptacle while working with the Eaton Lighthouse mounting arrangement. The kit combines the SmartPlug receptacle with the brackets, adapter plates, mounting hardware, and instructions needed to convert the pedestal as a coordinated installation rather than sourcing the components individually.

SmartPlug receptacles are engineered with increased electrical contact area to transfer power efficiently while minimizing the resistance that can create heat at heavily loaded shore power connections. The matching SmartPlug plug self-aligns as it is inserted, and a spring-loaded mechanical lock secures the connection automatically once engaged. The push-in design also provides a self-cleaning action across the pins and clips during connection.

Silicone sealing surfaces help limit moisture intrusion, while the asymmetric connector shape eliminates twisting and allows the plug to enter only in the correct orientation. The kit includes the SmartPlug receptacle, main Eaton mounting bracket, SmartPlug adapter plate, legacy adapter plate, mounting hardware, and installation instructions.
