Description

The SmartPlug Dual SmartPlug Cordset creates a fully matched shore power connection between the vessel and marina pedestal. Instead of upgrading only the boat side and continuing to use a conventional twist-style plug at the dock, this cordset places SmartPlug connectors at both ends for a consistent connection system throughout the shore power path.

Side clips form SmartPlug’s multi-point locking system, securing the connector body to the inlet and helping keep cable movement from stressing the current-carrying contacts. Silicone gaskets inside the plug bodies help prevent water intrusion once the connection is properly engaged, an important benefit around docks where rain, spray, humidity, and repeated connection cycles are normal. Tinned marine wire is used throughout the cord to help minimize corrosion.

Red and blue LED indicators on the female connector provide a quick visual check of power condition and can identify a reverse-polarity situation before the shore connection is relied upon.
