Description

The SmartPlug Dockside Female Receptacle is designed for marina pedestals and compatible electrical boxes where a SmartPlug shore power connection is desired at the dock. The receptacle increases the electrical contact area between the mating plug and receptacle, improving power transfer while minimizing the resistance that can create heat during sustained shore power use.

A spring-loaded mechanical lock engages the SmartPlug plug automatically for a secure connection, eliminating the twisting action used by conventional shore power connectors. The asymmetric receptacle shape allows the plug to enter only in the correct orientation, while the push-in motion provides a self-cleaning action across the pins and clips as the connection is made.

Silicone sealing surfaces help protect the electrical interface from moisture when used with the matching SmartPlug hardware.
