Sika Primer-207 Pigmented Solvent-Based Primer

Description

The Sika Primer-207 Pigmented Solvent-Based Primer is a black, pigmented solvent-based primer used to prepare compatible bonding surfaces before selected Sika one-component polyurethane adhesives are applied. The primer reacts with moisture to form a thin interfacial layer that helps connect the substrate surface to the adhesive system.

Its intended substrates vary by primer formulation and can include glass, coated glass, plastics, painted surfaces, pre-coatings, metals, epoxy or GRP materials. Because plastics, paints, and stress-sensitive materials can respond differently, the manufacturer requires testing on the actual substrate and production conditions before relying on the bond.

This is a professional surface-preparation product, so application should follow Sika’s specific cleaning, shaking, coating, flash-time, and compatibility guidance for the chosen adhesive system.
