Shadow-Caster offers several styles of color-shifting LED strip lighting built for boats and outdoor use, and which one you want comes down to how and where it’s going to mount. This 16-foot strip terminates with 20 feet of lead wire for real install flexibility.

The SCM-AL-LED strip in this listing is built to perform best when mounted somewhere out of direct view, tucked under a gunwale or behind trim where it throws light without the strip itself being the focal point. Shadow-Caster’s Neon versions, by contrast, work better when the strip itself will be directly visible, since they include a built-in diffuser that creates a smooth, continuous glow rather than showing individual LED points. Picking the right Neon option comes down to the geometry and bend direction of wherever it’s actually going to mount.
