Description

The Scanstrut Stainless Steel Low-Profile Cable Seal is designed for marine and outdoor installations where a clean appearance, minimal mounting height, and reliable waterproofing are all important. The DS-LP-30-S accommodates cables from 9 to 14mm in diameter and connectors up to 30mm, making it suitable for solar panels, light bars, antennas, rooftop electronics, navigation equipment, and other pre-terminated cabling.

Marine-grade 316 stainless steel provides excellent corrosion resistance for exposed installations and gives the seal a refined finished appearance. Scanstrut’s slimline design reduces the overall mounting height by approximately 68% compared with the DS30-P, producing a cleaner, more flush installation with less hardware projecting above the surface.

A tapered bung forms a secure seal around the cable, while a closed-cell base seal protects the mounting surface. The design has undergone IP68 testing and approval for outdoor use. Captive nuts simplify assembly and make repeat servicing easier, and each unit includes both pre-drilled and blank bungs so the installer can tailor the fit to the cable being used.

The split-seal option allows many existing connectors to remain attached during installation, eliminating the need to cut and re-terminate factory cable ends. Scanstrut also designed the seal to install with a hole saw so much of the sealing technology sits below the mounting surface, reducing clutter and eliminating messy external sealant.
