Description

The Samlex SDC-30 is a high-efficiency non-isolated DC-DC converter that steps a 24V electrical system down to a regulated 13.8V output for 12V equipment. It is designed for negative-ground systems in boats, commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, buses, and other mobile applications that need substantial 12V power from a 24V battery or charging system.

The converter accepts approximately 20-32V DC input and delivers up to 30A at 13.8V DC. Advanced switch-mode circuitry keeps the unit compact while maintaining high efficiency and stable output voltage for radios, lighting, displays, audio equipment, and other 12V loads.

Protection includes overload, overheating, reverse-polarity, over-voltage, and short-circuit safeguards. Cycle-by-cycle current limiting helps protect the converter during abnormal load conditions.
