Description

The Samlex IDC-100B-12 is a fully isolated 100W DC-DC converter that produces a regulated 12.5V output from a 20-35V DC input. It is designed for applications where the source and load circuits should remain galvanically isolated, helping prevent ground-loop problems and allowing 12V equipment to operate from higher-voltage battery systems.

The converter provides up to 8A output at the rated input condition. Fold-back current limiting protects the unit under overload, while additional safeguards cover short circuits, overheating, over-voltage, and reverse-polarity connection.

The compact enclosure uses 1/4-inch quick-disconnect blade terminals for straightforward wiring. EMI and EMC compliance helps reduce the chance that the converter will interfere with nearby electronics, which is especially important in marine, communications, and vehicle installations.
