Rough Rider The Great Alaskan Ulu Knife

Description

The Rough Rider Great Alaskan Ulu is a traditional rocking-blade kitchen knife rather than a standard folder, a curved stainless blade with a 6-inch cutting edge set in a brown wood handle, shipped with a matching brown wood tabletop display stand.

The ulu’s distinctive curved blade shape is rooted in traditional Alaskan and Arctic cutlery, designed to rock back and forth across a cutting board or bowl rather than slice the way a standard kitchen knife does, a technique well suited to mincing herbs, chopping vegetables, or processing food with efficiency. The wide, curved cutting edge covers noticeably more surface area per stroke than a straight blade, and the wood handle sits centered above the blade for balanced, comfortable control during the rocking motion. The included wooden stand gives the Ulu a place to rest safely on a counter or table between uses, doubling as a display piece.
