Description

The Pro-Guide PGC-510 is a high-output on-board charger designed for boats carrying several separate 12V battery banks. Each bank can be assigned one of Pro-Guide’s available charging profiles, allowing the system to accommodate lead-acid, AGM, and lithium batteries in the same installation instead of forcing every battery to use one universal charging program.

That flexibility is useful on fishing boats, multi-engine boats, and other installations where starting, house, electronics, and trolling batteries may not all use the same chemistry. Pro-Guide’s Activation Mode can provide a wake-up voltage to a lithium battery whose internal protection system has placed it into a low-power sleep state. The Intelligent PGC Algorithm continues to check each battery’s state of charge on a timed schedule while the charger remains connected, so the system can stay plugged in between outings and maintain readiness without constant manual intervention. Pro-Guide rates each charging bank for independent output, so the available charging capacity is distributed across the five connected batteries rather than shared through a single common output. This makes the PGC-510 particularly well suited to larger multi-battery fishing and recreational boats where each battery needs its own dedicated charging path.

Protection circuitry guards against output over-voltage, over-current, short circuits, reverse polarity, and excessive operating temperature.
