Description

The Pro-Guide PGC-1236X is built for boats that combine a conventional 12V battery with a dedicated 36V lithium system, such as a starting or electronics battery paired with a high-voltage trolling-motor bank. Instead of requiring separate chargers for the two voltage systems, the PGC-1236X manages both from one on-board unit.

The 12V bank can use the charging profile appropriate for lead-acid, AGM, or lithium chemistry, while the second output is dedicated to a 36V lithium battery system. Pro-Guide’s lithium Activation Mode supplies a short wake-up voltage when a battery management system has put a lithium battery to sleep, and the manual activation function can be engaged when additional wake-up time is required. The Intelligent PGC Algorithm is designed for year-round shore power connection and periodically checks battery state of charge so the connected banks remain ready for the next trip. The charger divides its output between a higher-current 12V bank and a dedicated 36V lithium bank, allowing the lower-voltage battery to recover quickly while still maintaining the high-voltage trolling system from the same shore power connection. That arrangement reduces the need for separate chargers and simplifies the on-board charging layout.
