The Schrade Old Timer 24OT Splinter is a folding carving tool that puts five specialized edge profiles into a 4.38-inch package. Instead of using a conventional pocketknife blade set, it has a straight gouge, hook blade, V-scorp, gouge scorp, and chisel for shaping and removing wood in different ways.

The carving tools are made from 65Mn high-carbon steel, a practical choice for edges that need to be sharpened and maintained as they are worked through wood. A brown Delrin handle keeps the traditional Old Timer look while remaining stable and easy to clean compared with untreated natural wood.

The familiar Old Timer appearance is completed by bright bolsters and an inlaid shield. Because the tool set covers scooping, V-cuts, hooked cuts, and chisel work, the Splinter is much more useful for carving than a general multi-blade pocketknife whose blades all share similar geometry.
