The Okuma Acuador 3000 is a spinning reel built around a 5.0:1 gear ratio, three ball bearings, and one roller bearing. It retrieves 28 in of line per handle turn and provides up to 15 lb of drag, giving the 3000-size reel a balanced setup for general freshwater spinning applications.

Monofilament capacity is 240 yd of 6 lb, 200 yd of 8 lb, or 160 yd of 10 lb line. For braided line, the spool holds 300 yd of 15 lb or 240 yd of 20 lb braid. A machined aluminum two-tone anodized spool with an LCS lip manages the line, while Cyclonic Flow Rotor technology is used in the rotating assembly.

The drag system uses multi-disc Japanese oiled-felt washers to manage the reel’s 15 lb maximum drag. A QuickSet anti-reverse bearing provides immediate anti-reverse engagement, and a machine-cut brass pinion gear forms part of the drivetrain.
