Nieto Linea Camping Olive Wood Folding Knife

Description

The Nieto Linea Camping pairs a 3.38-inch stainless blade with an olive wood handle. Made in Spain.

Olive wood is the distinguishing material, dense and close-grained with a swirling figure that varies from piece to piece, so no two handles match. It is a traditional Mediterranean handle material and it takes a polish that darkens with handling. Nieto works in Albacete, the Spanish cutlery town whose knifemaking goes back centuries, and the Linea range keeps to that plain, functional style rather than modern tactical shaping. At 3.38 inches the blade covers camp cooking, cutting cord and general outdoor work, in a folder that carries flat in a pocket.

Stainless is the practical choice for a camp knife that will meet damp firewood, food and washing up in the same day, resisting the staining a carbon blade would pick up without regular drying.
