Newmar NP-12 12V Nav-Pac Power Conditioner

Description

The Newmar NP-12 Nav-Pac is a 12V power conditioner and short-duration backup system for sensitive marine electronics. Navigation and communication equipment such as GPS receivers, programmable transceivers, and other microprocessor-based devices can malfunction when engine starts, thrusters, alternators, motors, or other onboard loads cause voltage sag, spikes, or electrical noise. The Nav-Pac is designed to keep the DC supply cleaner and more stable through those events.

The unit supports up to 20A output at 12V and contains a 5Ah sealed rechargeable battery. During a temporary source interruption or heavy transient load, the internal battery can support connected equipment for approximately 15 minutes at 8A, 8 minutes at 12A, 2 minutes at 18A, or about 1 minute at 20A. A built-in low-voltage disconnect protects the battery against excessive discharge.

The NP-12 filters conducted noise through 200MHz and provides transient protection rated for 100 joules and up to 4,000A on an 8 x 20 microsecond pulse. That combination helps address both ongoing radio-frequency interference and short high-energy voltage spikes.

An optional remote panel is available when status needs to be visible away from the installation location.
