Newmar 24-12-3 DC Converter, 17-32V to 12V

Description

The Newmar 24-12-3 DC Converter converts a 17-32V DC source to regulated 12V power for communication, navigation, and other electronics in negative-ground systems. It is a compact option for vessels and vehicles that use a 24V battery system but still need reliable 12V power for lower-current equipment.

The converter provides up to 3A output with a nominal 13.6V setting that can be internally adjusted from approximately 12.6V to 14.5V. Regulation is maintained within 1% under rated line and load conditions, ripple is limited to approximately 150mV peak-to-peak, and typical efficiency is about 85%.

Protection includes current limiting, automatic thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, reverse-polarity protection, and over-voltage protection. A conformally coated circuit board, corrosion-resistant aluminum heat-sink case, and heavy-duty mounting flange help the unit withstand demanding marine and mobile environments.

The converter carries the CE mark and supports continuous-duty operation within its rating.
